We had another relaxing day on Tuesday. We paid another visit to the gym, before Lis popped off to see her dad and Marcus went to see his family. Then we had a nice early night!! Boring, but brilliant!!
We got up nice and early on Wednesday for a meeting about future plans for The Cameleonz. Just before we left, Lis’ brother came home, so we had to think of some plans to scare him. Oh yes, let the fun begin!!The meeting went well, but when we got home, Marcus received a text from one of the guys we met; “Sorry, I didn’t realise I had my missus’ pyjama top on under my shirt. I thought it was one of mine when I put it on this morning.” Naturally, we burst out laughing, as we didn’t even notice!!
Marcus sent him a reply saying “haha, if you want to cross dress, that’s fine with us!!”
We then headed off to the gym to get our daily health fix!! After that, we decided to have another early night, forgetting about our plans to scare Lis’ brother, but last minute we thought we’d at least make an attempt to try and scare him.
So, here was the plan...Marcus was going to climb out of Lis’ bedroom window and sneak across the gravel to Jordan’s bedroom window. Thankfully, both rooms are on ground level before you start worrying about Marcus losing his life!!
Anyway, when Marcus made it to Jordan’s window, it turned out that he was still awake. Unfortunately, it was a failed attempt. However, we had a cunning plan...
Jord thought we had completed our fun and he was safe...but he wasn’t. We waited until he fell asleep, and sneaked into his room with the night vision camera. We made creepy noises, until we eventually woke him up in a massive panic!!
The reason we all get creeped out is because the village we have moved into is very dark and there used to be a psychiatric hospital opposite our house with lots of true scary stories attached to it!!!
You can see the video of us scaring Jordan here!!
After all the fun of scaring Jordan, we headed off to North Wales on Thursday for a meeting about taking part in some events in the area. The meeting went well, and we will be adding dates to our website very soon.
Most of our day was taken up by the meeting though as we got stuck in the traffic jam from hell on the way back. Just our luck! You’ll never guess which motorway? Yes, it’s that lovely M6 again! How we love that road... We have heard a rumour that they will be putting parking meters on there very soon!!
We made an early trip to the gym on Friday morning, before heading off to Lincoln for a charity event. On the way there, our windscreen cracked the whole way across before our very eyes. We were panicking that if the windscreen fell out, we would have to drive with goggles and scarves on- there was no way we were missing the gig.
The event was to raise money for four sisters who had sadly lost their mum just a few weeks ago. They were lovely girls and, despite their circumstances, they seemed to have a good night. It was an honour to help out.
After the show, we ended up going back to our agent’s house who appeared to have had a few too many drinks!! He ended up feeding Marcus chilli pickled onions and then Marcus thought it would be a good idea to take out all the chillies from the jar and eat them too. Judging by how much he was sweating, they must have been pretty hot!!
We didn’t get back to our hotel until after 2 in the morning, and Marcus was beginning to regret those chillies. In fact, he was up most of the night...
We popped into Lincoln to see the famous Cathedral on Saturday morning, before meeting up with our agent for a spot of dinner. The conversation soon returned to the night before and the chillies. Marcus duly thanked him for the pain he was still suffering!!
I think like everyone in the Staffordshire area, we woke up to thick snow on Sunday morning! It was REALLY thick snow! We even had to get the shovel out to get the car off the drive!
Before we headed out to play our gigs, we decided to get some big plastic bags and play in the snow which was all good fun...until Marcus hurt his shoulder.
Lis didn’t show much sympathy though, so we headed out to an afternoon gig in Shrewsbury. Marcus was still moaning about his shoulder!
After Shrewsbury, we headed off to Nottingham for a second show, which again went well. At least it took Marcus’ mind off his pain for a bit.
After the gig, Lis finally showed some compassion, and realised Marcus wasn’t joking. In her defence though, she never knows when to take him seriously!!
So, the first thing in the morning, Marcus will be heading off to hospital to get it checked out. Stay tuned for more news...
