Welcome back guys; hope you all had a great week.
Our week was quiet really.
From Monday to Wednesday we just went to the gym twice a day! And did all the boring food shopping and getting essentials.
On Thursday Lis and her mum went to see her friend in a production called ‘Chess the musical’, now they didn’t have a clue what it was about but low and behold it was about the actual game chess (hence the title), why they didn’t guess that we’ll never know!! Anyway........ The play was quite good, the costumes were amazing and the singing and everything was really good, it was 2 and a half hours long though but never mind. They didn’t get in till quite late but it was worth it.
We had a gig on Friday in Sheffield, now we heard the crowds aren’t very good in Sheffield and we can now vouch for that! lol
The venue was quite full, but they just didn’t seem to want to get involved! They just must be either death or they cant a word that is coming out of our mouths, or just plain boring, we don’t know, but we weren’t too bothered to be honest, it was only a last minute gig (literally) and what else would we be doing on a Friday night??! But have to say the few that did have a good time and bought our CD thanks you lot was great.
Now Saturdays gig was a different story that was a really good gig.
It was really funny actually because on the way to the gig in the car we drove through a town and as we were passing a pub, there was a random man standing outside dressed in a mini skirt, fake boobs, a wig, and rubber gloves! Oh and we are sure he had a feather bower aswel LOL.........
We took a picture of him just so we could show you, it’s not a very good photo as we were driving past but you can just about make him out, see what you think Ha-Ha.

When we arrived at the venue everyone was really nice to us and this time everyone was up for a laugh, not like Sheffield!
We had a great gig in the end and Lis had met a man who spoke 8 languages which she found really cool! She couldn’t understand a word he was saying though, even though he was speaking to her in English!! The gig was in Doncaster so we had a long drive ahead of us back home.
What made it a little worse was we had to be up really early on Sunday as we were holding the ‘Leeks Got Talent’ auditions. We got there at about 10:30am to set up our equipment so the contestants had microphones
(See we are kind to the contestants, We let them have backing tracks or instruments so the judges could get the full effect!)
It was quite a small turn out but there were enough acts to put through to the final, all the acts did really well, we had a mix of everything really from singers to comedians to a group of about 30 dancers, which was a bit hectic, as they were all kids!
But the day was a success and everyone enjoyed them selves, and well done to the acts who have got through to the final and good luck.
Stay tuned for next weeks blog catch you soon.................
