Welcome back............
Hope you all had a great week, we definitely did, and we have a few pictures for you all to look at.
Monday to Wednesday we worked hard in the gym, twice a day, so we are feeling supper fit.
Lis had to take her dog to the vets Wednesday morning as she hadn’t been very well. The vet gave her some pills to take for a week and now she is fighting fit again.
We had a gig in Rhyl on Thursday night, at the Pavilion Theatre for the Mayor’s awards. The gig was absolutely amazing, we had a fantastic response and all the crew really looked after us well, it was a privilege to be on such a great show.
We went on and did 3 songs and then we did an encore of another 2 songs. The crowd were incredible, they were screaming so loud it felt like we were playing Wembley!
Now Rhyl has the best mayor ever in our eyes, we love him. Lis thinks he is really cute as he is so little and lovable, so Marcus mentioned it on stage and it made the mayor’s day!
When we came off stage he came to our dressing room just to see us, we had a picture with him and Lis couldn’t help herself, she had to give him a big kiss on his check. (We are sure he didn’t mind that much LOL) It was his last day being the Mayor and the show was to celebrate all the fantastic things he has done for Rhyl, and we are sure he will be missed. (He will be by us, that’s a definite)

Same Difference was head lining the show and we went on just before them, they are really nice guys, we went out for a drink with them afterwards to catch up.
We all said it felt like we were back on tour singing in Theatres, it brought back some good memories.

We didn’t get home till really late but it was worth it as we had such a great time.
We just mainly chilled on Friday, we popped over to see Marcus’s family and then we went out for a lovely Thai meal in our favourite restaurant.
We had a gig in Doncaster on Saturday. Marcus’s sister, her boyfriend and brother came with us which were nice.
It was a really long drive to the venue and the night didn’t exactly start great! There was a bit of fuss from the venue about us bringing Marcus’s little brother who is 13years old.
Apparently the club don’t allow children in the club, but there was nothing we could do as we had travelled about 90miles to get there, so we couldn’t exactly drop him back off at home!
But after all the fuss we just got on with the gig and we actually had a really good night. The crowd were ace, and they were up dancing all night.
We got quite a few apologies’ from the club when we were packing down ready to leave about the fuss they made. But we didn’t really mind after that as it was a great night, next time we go we won’t bring any kids with us!!!
It was another late night for us, we didn’t get into bed until about half 3 in the morning!
At about 10am Sunday morning, Lis’s mum woke us up to ask us if we wanted to go to Alton towers with her, well no matter how tired we were we couldn’t miss that opportunity. So we dragged our selves out of bed, had really quick showers and jumped in the car ready to go. First of all though we had to drop Marcus’s little brother off back at his house.
We got to Alton Towers at about 11.30am; we had to take the trailer with us as we had a gig the same night so we were going to travel straight to it after.
Lis was very excited, we hadn’t been there for about 3 years and she couldn’t wait to go on the ride ‘Nemesis’ and ‘Air’. Now Marcus is a big wimp and wouldn’t go on ‘Nemesis’ with Lis so she went on with her mum’s partner. They only had to wait about 15mins in the queue, it was great. Lis had a big grin on her face when we came off.
After that we were all trying to persuade Lis’s mum to go on ‘Air’ with them as she really doesn’t like rides. We didn’t think she would come on it but to our surprise she did! (Even though she kept trying to back out as we got further and further in the queue!)
We love that rise as it feels like you are flying, and we think Lis’s mum actually liked it even though she said she didn’t! HA-HA.

So we had a great day, we ate that many sweets and popcorn we were on a constant sugar high! We really enjoyed ourselves but we were all really tired, and it was worse for us as we had to drive about 80miles to the gig and had to put on a full show!
The venue was really nice, we felt very welcomed. Even though we were extremely tired we had a great night with the crowd they were up dancing and singing along, so it was a really good end to our week.
Again it was a really late night and Marcus can’t really remember driving home!! (Don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing) but at least we could have a big lie in, in the morning.
Stay tuned for next week’s blog, have a great week everyone................
