Welcome back...............
It’s been another great week for us:
It was bank holiday on Monday so we had a day off from gigging which was nice, we completely chilled out all day, and in the evening we had a nice Chinese takeaway to end the day on, bliss.......
It was back to the gym on Tuesday as it wasn’t open all weekend, so that session was pretty hard going. We did some food shopping in the afternoon (healthy food though, no more takeaways for the week lol...............)
Lis had her new tattoo on Wednesday, she was very excited. She had a pin up girl on her right thigh and she’s very happy with it. It isn’t finished yet though she has to go back in a week.
Now Lis isn’t great with pain, so her tattooist told her to get some numbing cream which she did, it was the best thing she had ever brought. She couldn’t feel a thing! It was just like he was drawing on her leg with a pen! It was great.
When the numbing cream started to wear off in about 6hours the soreness started to kick in, but nothing major though so she was still happy.
On Thursday we went back to the gym, then Marcus and Lis’s mum’s partner Rob finished off building the pond in the garden! It was hard work but they managed it. Its looks brills, just needs a few plants and ducks in it!
Lis went to the park with her mum and little niece’s, where they saw the cutest little ducklings (she didn’t knick any for the pond though lol, very tempting still)
We had a great gig on Friday; we did the mayor’s ball in Marcus’s local town. When we got there to set up all the room was set out really nice, and when the guests started to arrive it looked like it was going to be a very posh do, even when we dressed up we still felt dressed down!
We had a lovely meal and waited whilst the mayor was doing all the speeches before we could start singing.
Now considering we thought this was going to be a really posh do, we didn’t think people would dance a lot so we weren’t expecting much. But to our surprise as soon as we started singing nearly everyone got up and danced through out the whole night!
And we mean the whole night! Their feet must have been killing them, but they didn’t stop. The night was fantastic, everyone had a great time and so did we. (Who says posh people can’t have fun Ha-Ha)
We brought a film crew along with us to our gig on Saturday; it was quite far away so we hoped they were prepared for the drive lol.
The gig turned out to be really good, and the crew got some really good footage and photos. It was good for Marcus as he had some one to talk to on the drive home from the gig as Lis usually falls asleep! So he wasn’t keeping his eyes open with matchsticks this time!
Sunday was another great day, as it was a lovely day outside, we got up and went to a local market and brought some chicken and sweets! Then when we got home Lis’s brother got his air rifle out and we were all shooting targets in the garden. Even Lis’s mum had a go!
We were trying to hit a tiny orange off the fence and see who could get it first! It is harder then you think! Then we set a coke bottle with a grape on top of it to see who could hit the grape, after about 4 hours of trying no one really succeeded! We all must need a lot more practice before we can hit that lol.....

Lis’s whole family came round for a massive Sunday roast in the evening, even our friend Brooklyn joined in. It was great. The best thing was the home baked brownies Lis’s mum had made for afters’, yum.
Stay tuned for next weeks blog......................................
