Welcome back everyone hope you all had a great week............................
Our week started off with a quiet Monday (we were quite glad though, as last week was just crazy), we popped down to the gym in the afternoon to do our daily workout. We felt refreshed after that LOL!
On Tuesday we had to get up quite early as we had a meeting in Manchester with a new agency we were hoping to work with.
The meeting went well, we were in there for quite a while, but that’s always a good sign we think?!
So after sorting everything out and going through lots of dates with the agent, we are now on their books, so hopefully we will get even busier then we already are. To us the busier we get, the better, we love our job that much we could do it every single night of the week, maybe even twice a day! That’s how much we love it LOL.
When we got home from Manchester we rushed to get changed into our gym things and legged it to the gym (literally!) for an outdoor circuit workout. We didn’t really know what to expect, but we sure didn’t expect to be able to hardly walk the day after! The circuit was quite hard, oh who we kiddin, it killed us! Half way through we were about to give up, but there were people doing it who were twice our age, so we didn’t want to embarrass ourselves in giving up!
And to make things worse, Marcus decided that we should also do our routine workout after that! Was he just trying to kill us?
Because it worked, on Wednesday we couldn’t move, Lis was a little worse then Marcus; she was walking like she had just been hit between the legs 5 times over, and then did the splits, twice!
But as they say, there’s no rest for the wicked, we still went back the gym and worked through the pain like troopers. LOL..........
On Thursday we had a meeting with a local theatre about putting on some talent contests in there, for all the local bands so they have a chance to play in a theatre and share their music with everyone.
We discussed some dates, prizes and other things for the contest so watch this space.................................
We had a great day on Friday, we have been providing some entertainment for a local pub for every Friday night, and on this day we booked in a ‘Blues Brothers Tribute’. We love the ‘Blues Brothers’, so we were really excited about watching them. When we got to the pub there were loads of people dressed up in their gangster suits and even Marcus joined in and put his suit on.

It was a great night, the tribute act was excellent, they really worked the crowd and were absolutely hilarious, and to top it off when we were talking to them at the end they were really nice guys. So everyone had a fantastic night and we are sure it will be talked about for a long time yet.

We had a gig in Batley on Saturday; it was a long drive so we had to set out quite early. It was worth it though as we had a really good night, it was one of the nicest clubs we had ever been too. And as it was bank holiday weekend, it was packed which we love.
The crowd was brill, they really got involved with everything we made them do, and some of those things can be quite embarrassing LOL, but they still did everything and everyone had a great night. We even nicked some of the dance moves from the ‘Blues Brothers Tribute’, and did them on stage which was really funny.
It was good job we cant dance (and don’t get embarrassed easily) because for those moves all you really do is mainly kicking your legs in the air and jumping around, so we got away with it LOL.
We were supposed to have a lie in on Sunday morning, but it didn’t end up happening as we went to a local market quite early so buy some meat and sweets (for Lis) , and then we popped up into town and did some clothes shopping, Lis was trying to find a new dress for stage, but didn’t succeed! Marcus brought a new shirt and tie though, so he was happy.
It was nice not having to rush around as the gig was in Stoke, so it was very local for us. In fact it was only about 10mins away so that was even better.
We like performing in Stoke as we don’t do it very often so it was a nice change. The gig was actually really good, the pub was packed out and before we performed we even had a carvery, yum.......
There was also a disco on, so in between our sets the disco kicked in to keep everyone on the dance floor. We had a really good night, and it was great that we didn’t have a 100mile drive home!
So on the way home we stopped at Mac Donald’s for a McFlurry! And actually got home at 12.30am instead of 3am!
Stay tuned for next week’s blog, hope you all have a great bank holiday.............................
