The Cameleonz, formed in 2006, consist of Marcus Birks and Lis Lawrence and are ready to write a new chapter for the world of music.
Since forming, they have gigged alongside the likes of Shayne Ward, Simon Webb, Status Quo, The Drifters, MPV, Chico, Mark Rhead, and many more. They were also the official support act for the Leon Jackson and Same Difference UK tour in 2009.
The pair have written numerous original songs, including ‘Should I Stay’, which was their debut single released on 22nd June 2009. To date, the single has sold over 10,000 copies.
The Stoke-on-Trent duo also entered ‘Britain’s Got Talent' 2008, winning the vote of all three judges and progressing to the later stages of the competition. It was a performance that prompted judge Simon Cowell to proclaim that 'Should I Stay' was "a great song with good structure".
In April of that year they filmed their first music video for ‘Should I Stay’. It featured a cameo role from Pete Conway, the father of Stoke-on-Trent’s very own superstar Robbie Williams. The video was nominated for the 'Limeleight Film and Arts Awards 2009' as best music video and has been played on MTV, The Box, Fizz, Virgin and VH1.
The Cameleonz have worked extensively with photographer Tony Wooliscroft, who has shot for the likes of The Foo Fighters, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Girls Aloud, Steven Gerrard, and many more.
They have been tipped for the top by 'The People' newspaper, while Robbie Williams’ father has gone on record as saying "The Cameleonz are one of the best new UK acts".
2010 promises to be an exciting year for The Cameleonz.
